Careers

Pupillage

Mentoring is the most direct way in which a pupil will be able to tap into the vast breadth of knowledge, support and experience in our firm. We will offer you plenty of guidance and support as you take a practical and active role in the various tasks assigned to you.

The relationships that you form and build with your colleagues over the course of your pupilage will last throughout your legal career and we will facilitate all the opportunities you need to develop good professional relationships.

Since we believe that knowledge is power, we will always encourage you to further your learning and development. We will provide you with the opportunity to attend courses that are geared towards broadening your knowledge, improving your skills and keeping you challenged.

We offer an allowance to our pupils and even to those that have successfully passed all their examinations and are ‘holding over’. We offer an exciting and rewarding programme where Pupils are mentored in both litigation and other areas to gain an all round hands on experience.

In selecting our pupils we look not only for excellent academic transcripts from recognized universities and high school, but also a pleasant and effective personality. An all rounder would be excellent – one who knows something about everything and everything about something.

Pupils will be required to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili. They should further posess a proactive attitude in dealing with issues and be a team player. The pupil should be willing to learn new things with speed and to participate in the preparation and research of complex matters. The pupil should be ready to work longer hours if the situation so demands. Being Computer literate will be an added advantage.
